BAR HARBOR — Plans for renovating Grants Park are moving forward.
The parks and recreation committee, chaired by Jeff Dobbs, is moving forward with a plan to build a granite seating area by the shore path and re-grade the grassy area of the park. Shore access also is proposed.
The committee plans to discuss likely project costs at its May 4 meeting. The conceptual plan for the park is to maintain it as an open field, Dobbs told town councilors April 7, “so elderly people who park at the top of it can still see the view.”
