Dance to benefit Next Step, Neighborhood House



MOUNT DESERT — A community dance to benefit the Next Step Domestic Violence Project and The Neighborhood House will be held at The Neighborhood House, 1 Kimball Road, Northeast Harbor, on Friday, Oct. 2, from 7-10 p.m.

Music will feature The Maestro and the Muse (Phil Kell and Amy Tellier Briggs) and the long-awaited reunion of The Sh*tty Rolling Stones tribute band (Kyle Duckworth, Steve Peer, Andrew Fiveland, Walter Howland and special musical guests).

Admission is free. All are welcome. Donations will be accepted at the door. The event is BYOB.

The Next Step Domestic Violence Project (Next Step) seeks to prevent and end the cycle of domestic violence through education and social change. Next Step has resource centers in Hancock and Washington counties and offers numerous services including a 24-hour hotline, crisis counseling, safety planning, emergency shelter, court accompaniment, support and education groups, safe homes and transitional housing.
