Closson benefit planned

SOUTHWEST HARBOR — A benefit for Sandra and Normie Closson will be held at the American Legion here on Saturday, Oct. 3, from noon to 5 p.m.

In early July, the Clossons suffered the loss of their daughter. One week later, Sandy Closson had a major heart attack, then a stroke. Since then, she has undergone a triple bypass in Boston. She has been unable to work for a couple months and will be unable to work a while longer. The benefit will raise money to help pay for medical and travel expenses.

For a $10 donation at the door, there will be live music with the Pam and David Cleaves Band, Time Lewis, Rosie Hodgdon and more. Lots of great things will be raffled. Raffle tickets will be sold at the door. There will be lots of great food to buy, like lobster rolls, crab rolls, steamed hot dogs, salads, desserts and more.

Call Viv at 479-6612 or Kathy at 610-0768.
