BAR HARBOR — Three candidates for Town Council had returned completed nomination papers as of Wednesday morning, officials said. They are Trailhead Café owner Matthew Hochman, electrician Peter Liscomb and former Police Chief Nathan Young.
Two more candidates, Patagonia store manager Nicholas MacCulloch and Bowden Sheet Metal owner David E. Bowden have taken out nomination papers but not yet returned them. The deadline is Friday.
Two seats on the Town Council will be open in June elections, as well as two seats on the Superintending School Committee. Kristi Losquadro has returned papers for School Committee.
No one has taken out papers for an open Mount Desert Island Regional School System (High School) trustee position.
