Online sales have a credit card fee of $1.50. If you’d rather pay with cash or check, you can message me or use the sign up sheet at the Post Office in Gwen May’s office. Checks should be made out to MDIHS Music Boosters. Our sale options are: 20-pound box of navel oranges for $25; 20-pound box of red grapefruit for $25; 20-pound box called “mixed” (navel oranges and red grapefruit) for $25; 20-pound box called “apple trio” (navel oranges, red grapefruit and red delicious apples) for $33; 20-pound box called “citrus trio” (navel oranges, red grapefruit and tangelos) for $33. Ben Doliber and many others wish to thank Bev McAloon and Gwen May for organizing the Veterans Day event at the library that honored all our veterans in a special way. We thank those who helped with refreshments, those who provided memorabilia and stories, and most of all, we thank the veterans themselves.
Tammy Tripler informs us that we still have time to order a Thanksgiving centerpiece or hostess arrangement from Island Dreamweaver. If interested, call her at 664-4898.

I am sorry to report that, owing to some minor surgery I am having out of town, I must cancel the Annual Community Christmas Gathering that I organize each year. I look forward to resuming it in 2016. In the meantime, check out upcoming columns for all the other holiday festivities on our island. Hope to see many of you at our Community Thanksgiving feast tomorrow.
Happy birthday to Bud Martin Jr., Jean-Jacques Cesbron, Becky Davis and Gary Hoyle. Anniversary blessings to Paul and Ruth Joy and Spencer and Wendy Joyce.
