Award list recognition

TREMONT — Selectmen on Monday were unanimous in approving the installation of a plaque to honor recipients of the town’s Harvey Kelley Award, which is presented annually at the open town meeting in May.

Resident Spencer Ervin suggested that a plaque be installed in the town office meeting room, which is named for Kelley.

“I think it was a great moment when this room was named for Harvey Kelley,” Ervin said, adding that it was equally “great” when the town named an award after the late educator and town historian.

Selectmen asked Town Manager Dana Reed to compile sample designs.
