YWCA seeks input on future directions

BAR HARBOR — The leaders of the YWCA Mount Desert Island are embarking on a vigorous strategic planning process. And, they want to hear the public’s ideas for their future.

The evening of Friday, April 11, the group is inviting people to come to their Mount Desert Street headquarters to share dreams, visions and concerns for the YWCA and to take an active part in the planning process. The next day, on Saturday, members of the YWCA’s board of directors and organization staff will embark on a six-hour strategic planning session.

Doors open for the planning gathering at 5 p.m., with the session getting under way at 5:30. Deb Burwell of Paddling the Rapids will be the guest facilitator. Sweet and savory refreshments will be served.
