Woodlawn whale talk set

ELLSWORTH — The Woodlawn Museum will present “Thar She Blows! Whales! A Nature Program at Woodlawn” on Wednesday, Aug. 24, from 6:30-7:30 p.m., with naturalist Lynn Havsall.

While the area is famous for humpbacks, other whales swim through the Gulf of Maine. Havsall’s talk will cover the amazing adaptations of humpback, sperm, orca, finback and pilot whales plus their dolphin cousins.

This fun learning experience is open for all ages, however children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Donations are greatly appreciated. Visit www.woodlawnmuseum.org.

The Nature Programs at Woodlawn series continues through October.
