BAR HARBOR — The Marine Mammal Stranding Response Program at Allied Whale at College of the Atlantic presents a Spring Stranding Workshop April 24 and a lecture series with more detailed information on pinniped biology. Both are free and open to the public.
The workshop is set for Sunday, April 24, from 1-5 p.m. in the McCormick Lecture Hall.
The lectures, given by Carissa Bielamowicz, are set for April 26, May 10 and May 17 from 1-5 p.m. in the Turrets 1 classroom on the COA campus. Topics include anatomy, physiology and diseases of pinnipeds. The series concludes with a hands-on necropsy on May 17.
