Watch the Northern Lights over Acadia

Although not as spectacular as displays earlier this year, the Aurora Borealis was visible from several places in Eastern Maine on Tuesday night. Several photographers gathered on the south shore of Jordan Pond in Acadia National Park to train their cameras to the north in the hopes of capturing the Northern Lights with long time exposures. This time lapse video was constructed from more than 200 images, each a 30-second time exposure, taken over a period of more than two and a half hours prior to midnight.
