Village center opinions sought

MOUNT DESERT — Town officials want to know what people like best about the downtown area of Northeast Harbor and what improvements they would like to see.

Residents are being asked to fill out a questionnaire as part of what Jackie Hewitt, the town’s economic development consultant, describes as “a planning process to create a future vision” for the village center.

“This plan will serve as a blueprint for future development and infrastructure improvements in the village and will provide concrete recommendations for improving its appearance, functionality and vitality,” Hewitt said.

The questionnaire may be found in the Documents Center section of the town’s website, and copies are available at the town office, the Northeast Harbor Library and Neighborhood House.

Completed questionnaires should be returned to the town office by Feb. 15.
