The Pemetic/Tremont girls beat Mount Desert 22-17 Saturday in Coast League middle school basketball championships Saturday, finishing the season with an 11-1 record. The team includes Molly Ritter, Acadia Meztger, Alicia Thurston, Kylie Dowsland, Maddie Matteson, Mollie Gray, Maya Watson, Meredith Musson, Sophia Thurston, Beatriz Fonseca, Grace Horner, Lexi Tozier and Lauren Davis. They are coached by Jeff Watson.

The Conners Emerson School boys won Coast League a title Saturday with a win in middle school basketball championship games at Mount Desert Island High School. WHITEOUT WEDNESDAY … Spencer Gray of Bar Harbor clears his driveway on Wednesday during the snowstorm. About seven inches of snow fell in the early morning hours. Schools were closed and plow trucks were active clearing streets, driveways and parking lots throughout the morning.
