Stroke victim LifeFlighted

ACADIA NAT’L PARK — A 55-year-old German visitor crashed her rented bicycle after suffering an apparent stroke while riding on the Park Loop Road near Thunder Hole around noon on Tuesday, officials said.

She was taken to Mount Desert Island Hospital by Bar Harbor EMS and later transported by LifeFlight helicopter to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor.

The woman, whose name was not available, was a passenger on a cruise ship that visited Bar Harbor Tuesday.
