ACADIA NATIONAL PARK — Members of Mount Desert Island Girl Scouts endured hours of soaking rain atop Cadillac Mountain on Saturday to provide food and refreshments to the 80 hikers from “The Summit Project.”

Hikers carried stones memorializing fallen Maine servicemen and women to the top of the mountain.
