Approximately 150 individuals – including children and adults with developmental disabilities, their parents and guardians, and staff from Downeast Horizons and other nonprofit social service agencies – enjoyed a sail aboard Downeast Windjammer Cruises’ 4-masted 151-foot schooner Margaret Todd among the islands of Frenchman Bay on Aug. 11.
“This is a perfect opportunity for neighbors in our communities to see that individuals with developmental disabilities can be out in the sun and share their experiences and enjoy life,” said Anthony Zambrano, executive director of Downeast Horizons.
