BAR HARBOR — The Mount Desert Island High School sailing team began practice this week at the MDI Community Sailing Center. John Macauley is the coach, assisted by sailing center staff and a large team of parent and community volunteers.
The team is set to compete in the Marblehead Invitational April 7-8.
Many of the high school sailors, and a few middle schoolers, also compete in a fall club sailing team at the sailing center.
