ELLSWORTH — Woodlawn presents a free nature program, “Seabirds of Maine,” on Wednesday, July 13, from 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Maine is the only state puffins call home. The state’s offshore islands also host razorbills, murres, guillemots and more. Naturalist Lynn Havsall will discuss how these amazing birds live at sea, including their summer nesting behaviors.

The event is open for all ages; children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. The Nature Programs at Woodlawn series continues through October.

The Woodlawn museum, gardens and park includes the historic Black mansion. It is located off the Surry Road, Route 172, at 19 Black House Drive.

The main house is open for tours May 1 – Oct. 31 and Dec. 1-23. The public park is open year-round, sunrise to sunset.
