Podcast features food pantry

BAR HARBOR — Community members and students gathered in Gates Auditorium at College of the Atlantic on June 6 to listen to an episode of a podcast series on hunger in Maine by student Malia Demers. A local panel on food security followed.

For her senior project at the college, Demers created a three-part podcast. In the series, she explored why Mainers can’t get the food they need and then branched out to explore policy and perceptions around hunger. She started her exploration at the Bar Harbor Food Pantry.
