Pastor, wife on African mission

Chuck and Beth Bradshaw of Bar Harbor will leave soon on a mission trip to Uganda.

BAR HARBOR — Clergyman Charles Bradshaw and his wife Beth are preparing to set out on the journey of a lifetime.

This fall, the pair will leave for a three-year mission to Mityana, Uganda. There, Father Chuck, as he is known at the Church of our Father in Hulls Cove, will be the principal of the Bishop Lutaaya Theological College and Vocational Centre. Ms. Bradshaw will teach music and English.

A grand celebration and fundraiser to help the Bradshaws prepare for the trip will take place at the Hulls Cove Schoolhouse on Saturday, Aug. 24, beginning at 5:30 p.m. The party will feature dancing, music, African foods and keynote speakers Gail White and Alyne Cistone.
