BAR HARBOR — Pastor Don Goldsmith and his wife, Linda, have been called to the Pentecostal Lighthouse Church in Town Hill.
The couple, married for 39 years, have five children and eight grandchildren.
Don Goldsmith is a graduate of Faith School of Theology in Charleston. While there, he majored in pastoral theology and missions. He also was honored to graduate as class speaker.
The Goldsmiths have been involved in pastoral ministry for the past 33 years and also have done missions ministry in the countries of Mexico and Cuba. The couple began their pastoral ministry in Dexter in 1982 and then continued after moving to Massachusetts in 1989.
Recently, Don Goldsmith was pastor at Redemption Rock Church in Cape Cod, Mass. His preaching and teaching ministry is focused on drawing people into a deeper relationship with the Lord, while concentrating on everyday practical issues that people face in their walk with the Lord.
“We come to Pentecostal Lighthouse with a passion to see people come to the Lord and to lead the church forward into the plan and purpose God has for the church,” a statement from the Goldsmiths said.
“Our contemporary church needs the grace of God and the power of the Holy Spirit to touch and reach the needs of people in the world in which we live today.”
