Navigators group at Jesup

BAR HARBOR — The Jesup Memorial Library has launched the Navigator Club to spur monthly giving.

Members of the club will help keep the Jesup on course with a monthly donation deducted automatically from a credit card or bank account. Each donation will help a child discover the thrill of stories, will buy books, will ensure equal access to information and resources for everyone on an equal basis, will fight censorship and will make a difference.

The Jesup is a private nonprofit that has served as the public library in Bar Harbor since 1911. We receive less than 5 percent of our funding from the town, and about half of the rest comes from endowment and grants. For the rest, we rely on the people who share our vision and believe in our mission to nourish minds, enhance lives and build community.

To sign up for the Navigators Club, visit www.jesuplibrary.org or contact Melinda Rice, director of development and communications, at 288-4245 (office), 801-8331 (cell) or [email protected]
