BAR HARBOR — An Ohio resident was arrested Saturday as the result of an early morning incident at a Cottage Street inn.
Antonette Benedetti, 28, of Medina, Ohio, was arrested on a charge of domestic violence assault and taken to the Hancock County Jail in Ellsworth.
Police made three arrests last week for alleged impaired driving.
Shortly after midnight Monday, Shay Leblanc, 32, of Hoboken, N.J., was arrested on a charge of operating while under the influence (OUI) as the result of a traffic stop.
Filip Pavlovic, 24, of Serbia was arrested early Sunday on an OUI charge following a traffic stop on Route 3 in Hulls Cove.
On Saturday, a Massachusetts man was arrested on an OUI drug charge.
Christopher Gallant, 24, of West Roxbury, Mass., allegedly was driving while under the influence of marijuana, police said.
A woman reported Saturday that a male acquaintance had made an inappropriate advance during a Friday night party at a home. She acknowledged that the incident did not rise to the level of assault, but she did want authorities to know that the man could present a danger to other women, police said.
Damage totaled about $6,500 as the result of a three-vehicle crash Aug. 25 on the Eagle Lake Road.
Dan Norwood, 62, of Ellsworth was westbound when his 2005 Chevrolet truck was struck from behind by a 2016 Kia driven by Hyun Sung, 22, of Lubbock, Texas. Sung’s vehicle in turn was rear-ended by a 2014 Kia driven by Taylor Phillips, 24, of Rutledge, Ga.
Two juveniles were warned Aug. 25 for possession of marijuana. Police contacted the parents to notify them of the matter.
A woman reported Sunday that she saw a small airplane trailing white smoke and appearing to be going down as she was driving in Town Hill, setting off a search by land and air.
Lt. Kevin Edgecomb said he patrolled the area while a plane from the Hancock County-Bar Harbor Airport searched from the sky. No traces of a plane crash were found, and the incident is believed to be unfounded.

The person who complained to the sheriff’s department Monday about fireworks being shot off at a beach on the Cape Road was informed that the people setting off the fireworks were not in violation of any ordinance.
