BAR HARBOR — Interim Town Manager Jim Ashe attended his last town council meeting on Tuesday and received accolades from councilors for a job well done during the several months he has been in town. “Jim has been a true pleasure to work with,” council chairman Paul Paradis said, echoing comments made from others in the group.
Ashe was equally praiseful of councilors and the community at large. “This has been a wonderful experience,” he said. “I have never worked with a better council than you. The town and the community have been very hospitable and welcoming.” Ashe is set to work through the end of the month, after which town manager-elect Cornell Knight will take the helm.
