ELLSWORTH — A recovery community information session and potluck dinner will be hosted by Healthy Acadia’s substance prevention specialists at Your Place Inc., Old Mill Road, on Monday, March 26, from 5:30-7 p.m.
The event offers participants the opportunity to meet others interested in promoting recovery, discussing recovery supports and building a recovery community. They will also learn about existing programs, resource networking and volunteer opportunities in Hancock and Washington counties, and find out how they can become a Healthy Acadia recovery coach volunteer or a Project HOPE angel and more.
Healthy Acadia’s advisory council will meet at Machias Veteran’s Home, 32 Veterans Way, on Wednesday, April 11, from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., with video/call-in availability.
Healthy Acadia’s community advisory council helps put the mission into action by keeping the organization focused on high impact community health improvement in Washington and Hancock counties.
The council is open to the public from both counties and represents a broad cross-section of communities. The council typically meets two to three times per year. Anyone from Washington or Hancock county is encouraged to attend.
RSVPs are required no later than April 6. Contact Tracey at 255-3741 or [email protected]
