BAR HARBOR — There are still openings for the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) course offered by the adult education program at Mount Desert Island High School. It is set to start Sept. 15.
But the registration process takes two to four weeks, “so now is the ideal time to start,” according to adult education director Anne Patterson.
The 180-hour CNA course includes classroom and lab instruction, as well as training at a hospital and an assisted living facility. Classes meet Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4-8 p.m. and all day Saturdays.
Anyone interested should contact Patterson at 288-4703.
