BAR HARBOR — Richard Parker will facilitate a community conversation about stress associated with climate change Saturday, Jan. 12 at 4 p.m. at Destination Health.
“Those interested are invited to discuss (in both large- and small-group formats) how to cope with the stress of the future and to share strategies helpful to reducing stress and anxiety in order to function in these uncertain times,” event organizers said.
During the meeting, participants can share their experiences. Steve Running’s ideas about the Five Stages of Climate Grief and Joanna Macy’s suggestions for self-care and activism will also be explored.
The meeting will conclude with some instruction on meditation as a tool to reduce stress and increase awareness.
