Forum planned on future of school buildings

BAR HARBOR — The public is invited to a community stakeholder’s meeting on April 30 at 5:30 p.m. in the Emerson school building of  to discuss three possible plans for renovations at Conners Emerson School. The meeting will be hosted by the Bar Harbor School Committee.

According to Principal Barb Neilly, the three options range in price from $9 million to $32 million. They involve renovating or replacing the aging school buildings.

“We’re just beginning this process,” Neilly said earlier this month at a Town Council meeting. “We want to do this in partnership with the town.” That involves getting public input on the three options.
