Food pantry gets gift

BAR HARBOR — The Bar Harbor Food Pantry, located at the YWCA here, received a donation from First National Bank, part of $15,000 given to 21 bood banks in the bank’s market area.

“First National Bank is grateful for the critical services that our food banks provide to our neighbors in need,” said Tony C. McKim, president and CEO. “As a Maine community bank, it is our goal to respond to the needs of these vital organizations that serve and help these families put food on the table.”

The pantry was established in 1994 and serves over 850 individuals in 380 Hancock County households each year. They are open every Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and Thursdays from 4-6 p.m. Everyone is welcome. Call 288-3375.
