AUGUSTA — The Maine State Ferry Service’s adjusted fare structure went into effect Monday.
For trips between Bass Harbor and Swan’s Island or Frenchboro, there are few changes from the rates initially announced in July. The cost of a commuter pass — five tickets for the price of four — for Frenchboro passengers is now $50 from Oct. 1 through May 31 and $70 in the summer.
On the Swan’s Island route, the price for a truck and driver is $4.25 per foot of truck length in the off-season and $4.75 in the summer. The ticket price for a minor (age 6 to 17) with a bicycle is $11.25 in the off-season and $16.25 in the summer. There is no charge for children under 6 on any route.
