BAR HARBOR — The committee that will lead the search for a new superintendent for the Mount Desert Island Regional School System (MDIRSS) will include five school board members, four teachers, three parents or other community members, two school administrators and one member of the central office staff.
The MDIRSS board decided on that makeup Monday night.
Any community members interested in serving on the committee may contact Selena Dunbar in the superintendent’s office. The school board plans to appoint the search committee members at its Oct. 19 meeting.
Superintendent Howard Colter plans to leave the post at the end of this school year.
