Fundraising blitz at COA

BAR HARBOR — College of the Atlantic’s fourth-annual fundraising blitz, the 24-Hour Challenge, is slated for Wednesday, Feb. 24.

The college is seeking a total of 750 gifts – of any size – over the course of the day to qualify for $24,000 pledged by an anonymous donor. The college hopes to connect with as many alumni, parents, students, community members and friends as possible throughout the day, said Dean of Institutional Advancement Lynn Boulger.

Money raised in the challenge will support COA’s annual fund, which helps bridge the gap between tuition revenue and the real cost of a COA education. The vast majority of COA students receive institutional aid.

This year’s annual fund goal is $1,150,000.

To take part in the challenge, visit, call 801-5624 or 801-5620, or send a check dated Feb. 24 to Development Office, 105 Eden St., Bar Harbor, ME 04609.
