Downeast Community Partners gets support for programs

ELLSWORTH — Downeast Community Partners recently received a $5,000 donation from Bar Harbor Bank and Trust to support four of its programs.

The programs supported are Everybody Eats School Meal Backpack program, transportation for Early Childhood Care and Education, Friendship Cottage Adult Day Service and At Home Support for Aging in Place.

“These four programs exemplify [Downeast Community Partners’] motto of providing lifespan opportunities in Hancock and Washington counties. Each of these programs relies heavily on community giving for sustainability, and so [we appreciate the bank’s] generous support,” said Joe Perkins, DCP resource developer.

“Downeast Community Partners has been a leader in developing programs that enhance the quality of life for those of all ages in our community. We are honored to provide support that further advances their capacity to deliver services to those in need,” said Jack Frost, the bank’s director of community giving.
