BAR HARBOR – Traffic on Route 3 in Bar Harbor slowed to a crawl on Saturday morning after a minivan struck a power pole causing wires to hang low across the road.
The accident happened near the intersection with Ledgewood Road around 6:30 a.m. A crew from Emera Maine used a crane to lift the broken pole off the car so it could be hauled off. No major injuries were reported.
Traffic was down to one lane for several hours. Other traffic restrictions may be necessary later Saturday as repairs continue. Bar Harbor Police and Fire Fighters covered the scene.
