Two drivers charged twice with drunk driving

BAR HARBOR — A Trenton man was busted twice for allegedly driving drunk. Alonzo H. Grindle, 55, was first arrested Sunday morning on charges of operating while under the influence (OUI) and operating without a license.

Just six hours later, police again stopped Grindle and arrested him on charges of OUI and violating the conditions of his release.

A Surry woman also was arrested twice in a week on drunk driving charges on Mount Desert Island. Kristen Bowers, 43, was first arrested Aug. 6 on charges of OUI, violation of conditional release and operating without a license. On Monday, Bowers was again stopped, and was again arrested on the same three charges.
