Thermos thrower arrested on multiple charges

TRENTON — A Trenton man who allegedly threw a thermos of coffee at a Hancock County sheriff’s deputy Sunday was arrested on several charges, including assault of an officer.

Deputy Chris Thornton was responding to a complaint of a driver operating erratically and found the registered owner at his home in Trenton. During the investigation, the owner, Ricky Skillings, 56, reportedly became “extremely irate and uncooperative,” the deputy said. As a result, Skillings was arrested on charges of assaulting an officer, refusing to submit to arrest, disorderly conduct and operating after suspension.
