Second burglary suspect charged

MOUNT DESERT — Police have charged a second man in connection with the burglary last month of the Pine Tree Market in Northeast Harbor.

Burglars entered the store the night of March 30 or in the early morning of March 31 and made off with cash, cigarettes and alcohol.

Chad Corser, 32, who police said is a transient who once lived in Northeast Harbor, has been summonsed on a burglary charge.

Matthew Smart, 36, of Northeast Harbor was arrested on a burglary charge the day after the break-in.
