COA sets fundraiser

BAR HARBOR — College of the Atlantic will hold its annual 24-hour fundraiser on Friday, April 20, and is calling on all supporters of the institution to help in reaching the goal. It is calling the fundraiser its “Earth Day Challenge.”

Last year, when the fundraiser was called “COA 24 Hour Challenge,” the college exceeded its goal of 750 donors. This year’s goal is for 1,000 or more supporters to make a gift in one 24-hour period. Money raised goes to financial aid and scholarships.

“We know it’s a very ambitious goal, but we think we can do it with the community’s help,” said COA Dean of Development Lynn Boulger.

Visit coa.edu/earthdaychallenge on April 20 to make a donation. Gifts are also being accepted via check or by calling 801-5620.
