Warm sendoff for chamber president

BAR HARBOR  — Outgoing Bar Harbor Area Chamber of Commerce leader Chris Fogg enjoyed a warm sendoff from approximately 100 attendees at the Jesup Memorial Library on Tuesday.

Fogg, who is headed to Hallowell to take the reigns of the Maine Tourism Association after more than eight years in Bar Harbor, was presented with a key to Bar Harbor by town council chairman Paul Paradis and Town Manager Cornell Knight and was presented with gifts by chamber board president Stacey Smith. Smith credited Fogg with taking the chamber to a whole new level of activity and professionalism, and joked that she had tried just about everything in the book to get him to stay.

The town council honored Fogg with an official resolution later that night.
