BAR HARBOR — Robin Fisher has been promoted to the role of director of medical imaging at Mount Desert Island Hospital. As director, Fisher oversees all facets of medical imaging from breast health to nuclear medicine.
Originally from Pennsylvania, Fisher graduated from Conemaugh School of Radiologic Technology in Johnstown, Pa., in 1995. She worked as a traveling rad tech and mammographer throughout the United States before settling in Maine, where she first was employed by Maine Coast Memorial Hospital. In July 2013, she joined the Mount Desert Island Hospital organization as the CT/X-ray supervisor in the medical imaging department.
Fisher greatly enjoys her role as director because it allows her the opportunity to bring the staff of together as a team. She is proud to work with such an excellent medical imaging team, she says. “These are the finest technologist I have ever worked with in my career.”
Outside of work, Fisher enjoys spending time with her husband, walking her dog and doing yard work. She is an active member of the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and the American Society of Radiologic Technologists. She is also a frequent contributor to the Bar Harbor Food Pantry.
