BAR HARBOR — Nadia Rosenthal, scientific director of The Jackson Laboratory’s mammalian genetics campus, has been named a 2015 Fellow of The Australian Academy of Health and Medical Sciences (AAHMS). Fellows are nominated for consideration by AAHMS based on their demonstrated distinguished professional achievement and outstanding leadership in the science of health and medicine.

Rosenthal is an international leader in mammalian genetics and regenerative medicine, running research programs in Europe and the U.K. as well as the U.S. and Australia. She was the founding director of the Australian Regenerative Medicine Institute at Monash University in Melbourne and the founding scientific head of the European Molecular Biology Laboratory Australia.

Rosenthal’s transition to The Jackson Laboratory faculty will be complete in December.
