Charity tourney



BAR HARBOR — Darling’s Chevrolet and Stanley Scooters each sponsored hole-in-one contests at the David R. Harding Memorial Golf Tournament on June 2 at Kebo Valley Golf Club.

This year, the hole-in-one prizes were a 2015 Chevy Trax from Darling’s Chevrolet and a Vespa Scooter from Stanley Scooters. Downeast Horizons’ Children’s Program is the beneficiary of this year’s charity tournament hosted by Bar Harbor Bank & Trust.

Tournament prizes totaled $2,200.

Additional sponsors included Consumer Title, Bowden Sheet Metal, Acadia Cottage Rentals, Acadia Realty Group, Bar Harbor Savings and Loan, Café Drydock & Inn, Carroll Drug Store, Jordan-Fernald Funeral Home, Maine Coast Memorial Hospital, Savage Forest Enterprises, Schoodic Animal Hospital, The Acadia Corporation and The Chart Room. To date, auction items have been donated by Harbor House, Walter Dunton Jr., Mama Dimatteo’s, Peekytoe Provisions, Sunday River and The Bayview.

The Downeast Horizons’ Children’s Program provides individual staff support to help meet specific developmental goals as well as social outings and group activities for all participants. The program also maintains a resource library, provides training materials and promotes the benefits of early intervention.
