Boutique kept in the family

BAR HARBOR — Frenchman’s Bay Clothing Company will hold a grand opening party Friday, July 4, from 7-10 p.m. at their store at 55 West St. Come check out their new lines, have a drink, and listen to some beats on the deck from DJ Iovino.

The clothing boutique is run by three generations of creative minds. Owner Michelle LaBianca, daughter Dorrie LaBianca and grandson Michael Iannuzzi offer tasteful lifestyle wear and finer goods for both men and women.

“It really is a family affair,” said Michael Iannuzzi. “Everyone is involved in the process, from my mother Nicole to my youngest sister Isabelle, to my Grandfather Mike LaBianca, and my soon-to-be Uncle Tony and girlfriend Rebekah.”

Frenchman’s Bay sells many American-made goods. Brands like Belted Cow Company from Yarmouth, Maine, Carolina Pines Bowties from Raleigh, N.C., Southern Tide from Greenville S.C., Bird Dog Bay from Chicago, Ill., Over Under Clothing from Jacksonville, Fla., Shwood Eyewear from Portland, Ore. and Sea Crow Co. from Hancock, Maine are a few of the companies they represent.
