Bone health, arthritis is health forum focus

ELLSWORTH — A community health forum on bone health will be held in the Maine Coast Memorial Hospital classroom on Monday, April 13, from 5:30-6:30 p.m.

In the free event called “An Orthopedic’s Handbook to Arthritis and Bone Health,”

Dr. Bruce Hamilton-Dick, Maine Coast Memorial Hospital’s new orthopedic surgeon, will offer advice on “getting old in the youngest way possible,” with the understanding that to be healthy, your body must be treated as a complete system.

If you have arthritis and are starting discussions about surgical intervention with your health care provider, this event will offer further insight and a chance to ask questions as you make decisions about your care.

There will be a question-and-answer session, and refreshments will be served. The hospital’s 2015 Health Forums are made possible by First Advisors Investment Services and Rudman Winchell Counselors at Law. Call 664-5337 or visit www.mainehospital.org to reserve a seat.
