Benefit set for man hit by pickup

SOUTHWEST HARBOR — A fundraiser for Timm Donahue, the man who was injured by a hit-and-run driver while walking dogs on Route 102 in Tremont, is set for the Upper Deck Restaurant on Monday, Oct. 10, from 11 a.m. until closing. Donahue is an employee of the establishment.

According to organizers, Donahue suffered multiple broken bones in his legs and ankles, broken ribs and internal injuries.

“We will donate 100 percent of the profits to Timm as well as to the Acadia Family Center, Resources for Recovery, as we recognize the need for this important outreach facility,” organizer Debby Dubois said.
