BAR HARBOR — There’s a lot to wade through to prepare for Town Meeting elections set for June 30 and July 14. The Islander pulled together our coverage of the issues and candidates, along with some information from the town, to make them easier to find as voters study their options.

Annual Open Town Meeting

The open floor town meeting, on June 30 at 7 p.m. at MDI High School, will focus on the town and school budgets for the fiscal year beginning July 1 and the election of the Warrant Committee.

Town Meeting Elections

Elections for Town Council, Superintending School Committee and high school trustees, as well as zoning changes, will be on the written ballot Tuesday, July 14, or earlier by absentee voting.

Dwayne Bolt and Robin Sue Tapley, the two current members of the Superintending School Committee whose terms expire this year, are both running for reelection. Joe Cough is the only candidate for the Bar Harbor seat on the Mount Desert Island High School trustees.
