BAR HARBOR — The Village Improvement Association, the group that takes care of the town’s scenic shore path and other public spaces, honored several long-time members at its 123rd annual meeting on Thursday.
Former officers Les Brewer, Bobbie Cole, Sheldon Goldthwait and Phil Cunningham were recognized “for their many years of service and many contributions to the success and growth of the VIA” in a resolution read by organization president Dick Cough. The meeting was held in the Bar Harbor Historical Society building on Ledgelawn Avenue, where the VIA maintains an office.
