Bank award supports Bar Harbor Music Festival Young Audience Concerts

BAR HARBOR — Allison Kiger, vice president for development of the Bar Harbor Music Festival, announced a $2,000 Grant from the Bangor Savings Bank Foundation to support the Bar Harbor Music Festival’s five Young Audience Concerts presented this summer in collaboration with the Jesup Memorial Library and Northeast Harbor Library as part of the festival’s 53rd Season, June 20-Aug. 5.

These interactive daytime musical events for children of all ages are presented by a select group of world-class musicians who perform in recital, chamber music, and opera during the six-week festival.

“We are pleased to be a supporter of the Bar Harbor Festival Corporation and applaud their commitment to bring arts to the area’s youth. The Young Audience Concert Series is a wonderful introduction to classical music for children of all ages and a great community event,” said Bangor Savings Bank President and CEO Bob Montgomery-Rice.
