Advisory Commission open meeting

ACADIA NAT’L PARK — The Acadia National Park Advisory Commission will meet at park headquarters (20 McFarland Hill Drive) in Bar Harbor from 1-3 p.m on. Monday, Feb. 1. The meeting is open to the public and will include an opportunity for public comment.

New Superintendent Kevin Schneider will provide reports on the Schoodic Woods project, Acadia Centennial, transportation plan, construction schedules, online park entrance pass sales and visitor use in 2015.

Friends of Acadia and Schoodic Institute will provide separate reports on their activities and programs.

Congress created the Acadia National Park Advisory Commission in 1986 to consult with the National Park Service on matters relating to the management and development of the park.
