ELLSWORTH — Healthy Acadia plans a community potluck dinner Nov. 19 to celebrate its first year of volunteer-led efforts to build what the group calls “a recovery-ready community.” The celebration is set for Monday, Nov. 19 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., at Your Place, Inc. on Old Mill Road.
The programs recognize that recovery from substance addiction takes a village, and volunteers have worked for a year now to help make local communities more “recovery ready.”
“Hear about the recovery supports now in place in our communities, learn how you can help others along their recovery journey, and explore opportunities to become actively involved in building a robust recovery-ready community,” event organizers said.
