ACADIA NAT’L PARK — Though work on the bridge on Route 3 at Sieur de Monts has ended, reconstruction of the Kebo Brook Bridge and the bridge at Day Mountain inside the park will continue for a few weeks longer.
Work on the top of the Kebo Brook Bridge, located by the Gorge Path trailhead on Park Loop Road, began on June 17. The trailhead parking will remain open, and parking will be allowed on the right shoulder beyond the construction and trailhead lot.
The Gorge Path and the connector trail leading under the bridge to the north will remain open.
After July 15, the connector trail under the bridge will be closed, but the Gorge Path will remain open, with a short detour around the construction site.
Work on the Route 3 bridge at Day Mountain will continue and probably be completed by July 15.
